All started a long time ago … I am Mexican with a heart full of love for my country (like almost all my Mexican compatriots) when I was a child my mother told my sisters, brother and me “Never lose your identity. Always walk with love, humility and gratitude!” this was his phrase to introduce us to our holiday of “Holy Week” in ” Huaynamota” Sierra de Nayarit, Jalisco where you away from all urbanization and distractions. We learned to rest in the darkness of the night (without electricity) and wake up with the sound of chickens and grandmothers preparing tortillas by hand with natural corn … Our days were filled with anecdotes told by the “Marakames” (village shamans) and of “Huicholes” (indigenous people of Jalisco) who spent hour after hour creating beautiful ancestral crafts. Since then, in each opportunity we had, we traveled with the family and got into the magic of our traditions.
The past time and the circumstances of the destiny made me come to Mallorca in Spain and that’s when I really knew what Mexican I am, how I love our traditions and how wonderful it is to share them with the rest of the world.
I welcome you to this Virtual Gallery where you will find handicrafts, stories and magic that I personally get with Mexican artisans and indigenous people. These objects wish to travel to all the hearts of the world and raise funds for causes and indigenous groups in Mexico that in exchange for your help, will give you the magic they perform with their kind hands.
Thank you for believing and loving our culture.
